I was wondering if anyone may have any Charity Stitching Groups they may recommend? I've been trying to get a list together to share with others. If you know of any, feel free to email me at stitches377@outlook.com or visit me on Mastodon (profile once you join Mastodon is @Stitch26@mastodon.social ). I've been having trouble finding groups that welcome cross stitch specifically. I've been cross stitching since I was 7 and been designing my own patterns off and on since I was 10, though I've been doing it the most heavily since 2011. But since I mostly design prayer cloths, I started looking for charity stitching groups that accept cross stitch so I could give them away. Unfortunately, the vast majority of charity stitching groups seem to prefer mainly crocheted or knitted items, though some also accept quilted or sewn projects. If anyone has any ideas, they would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much in advance! Happy Stitching! -- Sarah Stitch26 from Oklahoma, USA

- Why not donate the prayer cloths to a church? As a former church Pastor, we gave our quilted and stitched prayer shawls to shut ins. -- Pauline Wallace from Barnegat -- Feb 14
- Thank you for your suggestion, but unfortunately most churches in our area find them offensive because they don't believe in them. That's why I've been looking for other charities to give them to. I do appreciate your idea, though! Thank you! :-D -- Sarah Stitch26 from Oklahoma, USA -- Feb 15

About Copyrights:
Copyright patterns may not be copied and given to someone else. It's against the law and it's dishonest. On the Internet, one copy can quickly turn into one million which basically takes away the need for people to buy the patterns, which puts the designers out of business. You can give away, trade, or sell the original leaflet though.
In the case of Crosstitch.com patterns, which are by subscription, all patterns are for the members personal use only and may not be given away or re-distibuted in any manner.
