I was wondering if it s ok to stitch over 1 thread on 22 count fabric? I have only stitched up to 18 count over 1, and 28 & 32 count over 2 threads. I m trying to make my project a little smaller. -- Terri from Peoria, AZ

- Hi Terri, stitching on 22ct over 1 works good for full (or half) stitches. I would use 1 strand of floss. You probably won't be able to do any specialty or partial (1/4) stitches but you might be able to do full stitches instead. -- Gayle S from Crosstitch.com -- May 18
- Hi Terri, I stitch over one thread on 22-ct using 2 strands of regular cotton floss (DMC is my preference). Your finished product will look like petit point. If your goal is a small project, you won't be disappointed. I make name tags for the ladies in my Bible study with a flower (or other design if asked), and I stitch their name in a calligraphy alphabet from Leisure Arts, but I omit quarter stitches because they are impossible to do on 22-ct. over one thread. I hope this helps. -- Juliana from Guatemala -- Aug 29

About Copyrights:
Copyright patterns may not be copied and given to someone else. It's against the law and it's dishonest. On the Internet, one copy can quickly turn into one million which basically takes away the need for people to buy the patterns, which puts the designers out of business. You can give away, trade, or sell the original leaflet though.
