I drew my own lotus pattern. I want it in soft pink. I can't seem to get the right colour nor shading. Outlining in black makes my lotus look very dead. Please help. I love cross stitch. This is the first time I am attempting to a pattern on my own. Can you help me? -- Sundra from Malaysia

- Try using gold to outline. It really makes pieces like that pop! -- Sue P from Moline IL. -- Dec 16
- I would just go with a darker shade of the pinks you are using on your flower. That is what I have done in the past and it looks good. -- Cindy Hedges from VA -- Dec 16

About Copyrights:
Copyright patterns may not be copied and given to someone else. It's against the law and it's dishonest. On the Internet, one copy can quickly turn into one million which basically takes away the need for people to buy the patterns, which puts the designers out of business. You can give away, trade, or sell the original leaflet though.
In the case of Crosstitch.com patterns, which are by subscription, all patterns are for the members personal use only and may not be given away or re-distibuted in any manner.
